Thermal Insulation Questions

What is thermal insulation all about?

Our definition of thermal insulation is "the use of materials used to reduce the rate of heat transfer". This is a very basic definition but really describes what we do, we do this through the use of different materials, the main methods of heat transfer are:

  • "Radiative" - here we would use products like "Reflectors" to insulate

  • "Conductive" - here we would use products like "Foams, Fibrous Materials or Voids" to reduce the effects of heat transfer

  • prevents condensations

  • Accoustic qualities

What benefits can Iexpect after insulating?

This is dependant on several other conditions that you need to factor in to come up with the estimate. Things like the age and efficiency of the heating system, the degree of thermal insulation that is applied, the differential in the environments temperatures will all impact on this. To get the best estimate, please contact us to discuss your application. Boilers and plant will last longer due to not having to run as often as less heat will be lost. Other benefits are:

  • Noise reduction

  • Reduced carbon footprint

  • Reduced energy costs

Initial construction costs can be reduced when combined with trace heating, as you only need one pipe for your hot water, which reduces space requirement also.

Can you design projects?

Yes using our years of experience and vast knowledge of the insulation industry, we can guide you through the process of designing a specification that suit both your needs and budget.

Can your estimating department accept digital drawings?

Yes, our highly skilled estimating department has the necessary skills and equipment to perform digital takeoffs using bespoke on screen takeoff technology to provide a quick and comprehensive quotation.

Can drawings be e-mailed to you?

Yes, our state of the art computer system allows large quantities of information to be e-mailed to our office. We have found this service of particular use as in this day in age time is a virtue that many projects can ill afford. Using this service we can provide a very quick turnaround on quotations.

How big a project are you willing to take on?

We cover many projects ranging from a days work, all the way up to several million pounds projects. All sizes of project and timescales are undertaken.

Can we send you quantities only?

If quantities are sent to us we can provide a quotation the same day, this we have found to be of particular use to many of our customers working to a tight time frame.

Where do you work?

Although our offices are based in Lincolnshire as a company we work nationally.

Do you do labour only insulation projects?

Yes we can provide labour only to your project, combined with if necessary a fully qualified site foreman to aid with the progression of works.

Do you do supply only of materials?

Yes we can provide you with a comprehensive quotation for the materials that you may require.

Do you do insulation jackets?

Yes we perform a site visit and then using our years of experience provide you with a quotation to comply with your specification and needs.
